Adan Yaal | March 29, 2023 – Adan Yabal District Hospital in the Middle Shabelle Region , Hir-Shabelle has been reopened after 15 years, the administration of that district, the residents and the health workers have jointly spoken about the importance of this hospital and expressed their happiness.
Some of the local residents who went to the Adan Yabal District Hospital for medical services said that they had severe problems in the last 15 years, and they had to go to Mogadishu and Jowhar which are far away for the medical services they needed.
The hospital is visited for medical services by the people living in the villages and remote areas of the District, they praised the role of the Federal Government to have a medical facility that they needed most.
One of the patients who had the opportunity to be treated at the hospital said that he came from an area 35 km away from Aden Yabaal District, he pointed out that they used to travel a long way to Mogadishu.
I came from a place 35 KM to the east of Adan Yabal District, the medicine that was given to me today was given to me for $4 or $5 per pill and in addition to the trip in the car that I took, I thank the government for implementing the hospital and making it operational” said one of the people who received medical services at the Aden Yabal District Hospital.
The Governor of Adan Yabal District, Mohamud Sheikh Hassan, described the reopening of the General Hospital in the District as a success.
He said that some of the women when in labour used to bleed to death before they were taken to medical facilities which were far away
“Pregnant mothers in prolonged labour pain and serious injuries were taken to Jowhar or Hamar, AS men were there and no progress in Aden Yabal district at their time, the people are treated very much now, and they are buildings to be added” said Governor Adan Yabal.
The Federal Government forces, backed by the locals, on December 6, 2022, occupied Adan Yabal District in the Middle Shabelle Region, which was under the control of AS for 15 years. This district is 245 km north of Mogadishu.
The President of the federal government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on March 26, 2023 made a historic visit to Adan Yabal District in the Middle Shabelle Region, as the last president to go to that district was the President of the Military Government, Mohamed Siad Barre, whose government was overthrown on January 26, 1991.
