Muqdisho | QOL | 22 October 2017 – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is expected to travel to several neighbouring countries in the coming days.
Reports said President Farmajo will pay state visits to Uganda, Ethiopia, and Djibouti, which are the main troop contributors to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
It’s still unclear reason behind the President’s urgent trip to the east African nations, but, it comes as his Federal government is preparing a final offensive against Al Shabaab.
The Al Qaeda-linked Al Shabaab militants have been fighting since 2008 to topple the UN-backed Somali government and its allied AU forces.
